We believe this to be the most effective, easiest way to memorize scripture!
“How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you, let me not wander from your commandments. I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
Psalm 119:9-11
How to use The Stored Word (short)
The Word is truth
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17
There is power in knowing the truth
“How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” Psalm 119:9-11
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8
The truth will set you free and keep you free
“So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, ‘If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” John 8:31-32
“The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.” Psalm 19:7-10
We are to share the truth
“And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7
“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16

About the Stored Word
In December 2023, I was given a verse memorization box by a dear friend. I had grown up hearing how important it was to memorize Scripture, but it always felt daunting and unattainable. I would try to memorize verses, only to forget them days, weeks, or months later. Nothing seemed to stick—and to be honest, I lacked the vision for why it mattered.
My friend explained that memorizing Scripture using this box would take just 2–5 minutes a day. He told me that if I stayed consistent, I’d look up a few years later with hundreds of verses stored in my heart—and that it would change my life.
He was right.
Today, I’ve memorized hundreds of Bible verses, and I can confidently say it’s the single greatest gift I’ve ever received.
Naturally, after seeing the profound impact this Scripture memory box had on my walk with Jesus, I wanted to share how this tool has helped me and I began making them for people I loved.
To their surprise, memorizing Scripture was far easier than they expected with this box method. Their own walks with Jesus began to transform—and soon, they were sharing the box with others as well. I started getting requests to make more boxes and to share the links so others could build their own. Eventually, it became clear that this wasn’t just a personal project anymore. The idea to mass-produce the box and make it accessible to more people began to take shape.
Scripture memorization is not a suggestion—it’s a spiritual necessity. The Bible makes this clear (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 119:9–11, Deuteronomy 6:6–7). It’s our only offensive weapon against the enemy (Ephesians 6:17). It’s how Jesus Himself fought Satan’s lies in the wilderness (Matthew 4). When we store the Word in our hearts, we are putting on the belt of truth (Ephesians 6:14), equipping ourselves to share the Gospel with the very words of God—words that are “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12).
When preparing to teach, preach, lead a Bible study, having Scripture hidden in your heart helps you see the big picture. You begin to understand the Bible not as 66 separate books, but as one unified Word of God. It deepens your understanding and sharpens your ability to teach.
The benefits of storing God’s Word in your heart are undeniable—not just for me, but for anyone who takes it seriously. One of those people is my uncle, Gabe Wight.
When I shared the idea of Stored Word with Gabe, he was all in from the beginning. A faithful mentor and leader in my life, Gabe brings a deep love for evangelism, a bold commitment to truth, and a passion to leverage every part of his life for the Kingdom of God.
Together, we took the same verse memorization method that had shaped our lives so deeply and began dreaming of how to put it into the hands of as many believers as possible. We weren’t just building a product—we were sharing a lifestyle of daily communion with God’s Word.
That’s when Stored Word was born.
This ministry is the overflow of a simple discipline that changed everything. And it’s our prayer that it helps you store up the Word of God in your heart—so that your love for Jesus grows deeper, your faith grows stronger, and your witness grows bolder.

How to use The Stored Word
Choose a verse (your own or from our list).
Write the verse reference (e.g., John 3:16) on one side of a card and the verse text (e.g., “For God so loved the world…”) on the other.
Place behind the Daily tab & pick a consistent daily time to review. Keep box on bedside table, or the place you will use box each day. Read aloud 2-5 minutes a day. Add a new verse if it takes you less than that.
Say each verse aloud. When you say it without looking, add a tally in the top left.
After 35 tallies (35 days), move card to Odd/Even. After 15 more tallys (30 days, total 50 tallys), move to Weekly. Then Bi-Monthly. The goal is to wean you off of a verse.
